Pub Day!

Vital Deception is now available in print and e-book format on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and in e-book format on Apple Books and Kobo. Print versions through your favorite independent bookstore will be available next week (via order through Ingram), and the audio version is scheduled to drop on April 21 on Amazon, Audible, and Apple.

Phew. I’ve pushed all the appropriate buttons, and it’s out of my hands. Vital Deception is published!

If you’re not following me on social media and missed my Advance Reader review series, here’s what NY Times best-seller Ted Bell had to say: “Tight prose in this spy genre, where tight makes right. Christopher Rosow has got the tools for this business. Look for a hypersonic rise amongst his peers. Ben Porter is the real deal.”

I wrote something like this in the Acknowledgement of Subversive Addiction: please set your politics aside, as this has nothing to do with politics. My big break in 2020 came from Rush Limbaugh, who talked about the first books on his radio show. This year, his brother, columnist and author David Limbaugh kindly reviewed an advance copy and wrote, “My brother Rush loved the Ben Porter books — and I do too — for good reason. They are impossible to put down. The story lines are compelling and could be happening right now.” I am humbled that the brothers share an affinity for Ben Porter.

And I love the words by my friend and mentor James Patterson that appear on the cover of Vital Deception: “The perfect thriller for the crazy world we live in.”

Coincidentally, earlier this week, I was in Washington, DC, which is one of the locations for Vital Deception, and as I made my way around the city, I imagined Ben doing the same—just about one year ago, per the storyline. Indeed, I drove on one of the streets that Ben was on, racing to save the world… again :)

In the story, the United States Attorney General observes to Ben, “You have a knack for inserting yourself into these things, wouldn’t you say?”

Ben replies, “It would appear so, sir. Somehow these plots keep ending up on my lap.”

Of course, they do! Ben is our hero, and I hope you have as much fun reading about his latest adventure as I had writing it.

As always, with gratitude for your support,

— Christopher
